Lean, light, and strong. These are the basic parameters we set for the 748 Narrows™️, but there’s nothing basic about this future-forward folder. Coming in at 0.28 inches thick, the titanium handle of the Narrows™️ is the slimmest full-size frame we’ve ever built, making it the most pocketable, space-saving large knife in our lineup. Accordingly, we’ve also introduced a new take on the AXIS®️ lock, eliminating steel liners and omega springs and subbing in a sleek new lock stud and torsion spring assembly. With the benefit of a thin M390 drop-point blade and the pop of PVD-coated Sapphire Blue hardware, this stylish EDC takes ultralight utility to the extreme.

Undoubtedly good but…

Overall the knife is good. But the action is Mehh. I have 50$ knifes with better action. This one sounds rough when you deploy it and I struggle to spidy flick it at all. I added some lube to the pivot and it’s better but still not as good as you’d expect for the price tag.

Stamped pocket clip and no titanium hardware either so that’s unfortunate.

It feels good in hand even tho it’s extremely thin. But comes with a very coarse edge out of the box. I’d guess 600 grit is all they went to on this factory edge and is pretty disappointing.

M390 in this application dosnt seem right either as the toughness of m390 is pretty low and this blade is so thin I’d expect chipping on any mildly difficult tasks. Would have preferred a different steel. Preferably magnacut in this application and price. It just makes more sense logically.

Also the 58-61hrc of the m390 is what I would call mediocre at best as 61 is where m390 starts to become acceptable.

Overall this knife could have been worth the price tag easily had they chosen a different steel, made it with 62-63hrc, included titanium hardware and clip, and gave it a better edge out of box. But for what you get this is a three hundred dollar knife that you have to pay five hundred for. I expect other manufacturers to copy this design spec for spec and come in 1/2 the price fairly quickly and I’m excited to see them when they ultimately do come out. I think benchmade needs a reality check and this may be the knife that gives it to them.

If you are well off and don’t mind paying a 200$ premium it is a good knife though.
