The Ambitious from Spyderco's Value Folder series is a compact yet powerful cutting tool. In its lightweight version, it swaps the G-10 scales for injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) with a high-traction Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern. The Ambitious Lightweight Black Blade takes this further by coating its full-flat-ground 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade in non-reflective black oxide. The handle's full skeletonized stainless steel liners, four-position pocket clip, and other hardware also feature stealthy black coatings. Available with either a PlainEdge or fully serrated SpyderEdge, both options include a sturdy LinerLock mechanism for secure blade lock during use.
