CPM SPY27, developed in collaboration with Crucible Industries, is a cobalt-enriched powder metallurgy steel that offers a strong balance of toughness, corrosion resistance, edge retention, and ease of sharpening. Exclusively available on Spyderco knives, this steel powers the latest Manix 2 XL. Featuring a broad, full-flat-ground blade, the Manix 2 XL takes full advantage of SPY27’s properties. The blade is secured by Spyderco’s Ball Bearing Lock™ and supported by skeletonized stainless steel liners, cobalt blue peel-ply G-10 scales, an oversized lanyard hole, and a reversible pocket clip for tip-up carry on either side.
